BNI’s PR campaign shared the secrets of successful business networking, celebrated success among members of the organisation, and acted as source of opinion from the perspective of thousands of UK and Irish SMEs.
Having been featured in more than 20 national newspapers in one year alone, BNI’s exposure reached new heights when Meerkat PR created the opportunity for two SME trends to make BBC Radio 4 morning news, three weeks apart in the summer of 2013.
Following numerous credible and inspiring stories, the media began to accredit BNI as Britain’s largest and most successful SME business networking organisation. Coverage ranged from local, regional, to national and international stories.
BNI is the most successful business referral organisation in the world and currently helps more than 13.000 businesses in the UK and Ireland to grow their business through word of mouth marketing. Many of our local groups have PR member companies and we have often been approached by them, with supposedly clever ideas they have for raising our profile. When we have in the past, contracted such a company, our experience has been that they promise the earth and deliver very little. Because of this, I was slightly skeptical when Meerkat PR was referred to us.
How wrong could I be?
Since we engaged you, you’ve under-promised and over-delivered. You’re always proactively looking for stories about BNI that might be of interest to the media. You always look at what is most likely to gain coverage, rather than just looking at what story we may want to plug, and there is no doubt that the creative angles that you have come up with are what has achieved results.
In the past five months alone, you’ve managed to get us coverage in three national papers, five local papers and at least ten online business titles – and we know there is a lot more in the pipeline.
There’s a well-known marketing campaign for a website which tells us that we should compare the Meerkat. Well, I say in this case, it should be “don’t compare Meerkat PR” because there’s no doubt you are head and shoulders above any PR company we’ve dealt with, and we would highly recommend your services to any business that wants to generate positive exposure in the press.
